Hello you all....I have been homeschooling for the past 2 years now but this year I have run into a problem finding a good reading program. My daughter is 6 yrs old and reads at about a 3rd grade level. Last year we had a reading comp. booklet that had questions to go with specific books, it worked good because we would go to the library and get the books for a weeks worth. This year I have been reading books then making out questions, this my friends is more then I wish to continue doing. I can't remember the last time I read a grown up book. Can anyone suggest or steer me in a good direction to find a good program or something. Thanks is advance!!
If you want a program that is just great stories and poetry (from all cultures), makes the kids think and incorporates activities then Jr Great Books is your best bet. My daughters are doing K and 2/3 work and we have found this program to be very enjoyable and affordable as you can purchase it as you need it. They are very helpful and will gladly send samples of the level you want. Here is the website: http://www.greatbooks.org/typ/jgbseries.0.html
