I'm Margarita Rentschler (Margo), and have three homeschool children, Margarita (4), Ethan (2) and Jacob (4m). We move from Fairfax, Virginia about a month ago. We can't wait to meet you all. I would also really appreciate it if someone could tell me of a good place where my dauther could take dance (ballet/tap) lessons. We live in the NE for now.

There is a wonderful dance school called Fishback's Studio right off of Eubank and Montgomery. 4529 Eubank Blvd. Phone # 298-8828. It is behind the Wendy's. They have pre-ballet for 4-5 year olds, and they start tap classes at age 5. They are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year and have some fabulous teachers.
My son took a pre-ballet class at Dance Theater of the Southwest. They are the group that does the Nutcracker every year with the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, and kids 8 and older can audition. Not that it would matter much for a few years! But they also do a fully costumed recital every other year for all classes, and a less formal one on the in-between years. They have a ballet/tap combo, but I suspect that their emphasis remains on the ballet side.
I think that the cost is $45 a month. I'm not exactly sure, because they offer half-off classes for boys, so we never paid the full amount.

Thanks for the info.! I called Fishback's studio and they say she couldn't start untill the summer, so I'll call Dance theater and see what they'll say.
Margo, There is also a place called Kandi's Kids at Juan Tabo and Eubank. They have a dance class for your daughters age that my daughter athena goes to. There are only about 4 girls in the class and the teacher is very fun and easy going. They work on Tap/Ballet/Hip Hop and Tumbling. The cost is 45 dollars a month for a 1 hour class. Hope that helps.
