Hi there,
I will be moving to Alb. June 1st with my 6 and 8 year old, boy and girl respectively.  Neighbor told me that there are several home schoolers in our gated community but don't want to post where!  Came out two weeks ago and found a house just South of Paseo Del Norte on the NW side.  I am looking for summer programs to get them into so they have opportunity to meet friends.  I have looked on-line and looks like a lot is already full.  Any suggestions to "getting involved quickly"  Also, we are missing our VBS here, anyone involved in local VBS at a local church.

Is there any particular denomination you're looking for VBS in? I'm sure various people are aware of their own, but they don't seem to be widely publicized here like they were in Kentucky. In KY, they had a special newspaper section devoted to all the VBS in town.

Welcome to the area!
Hoffmantown Church (corner of Harper & Ventura) is having VBS on June 19-23.  There are many other excellent programs posted elsewhere on this board.  Also, if your kids play soccer, you can find out about soccer camp at http://www.ayso104.org.
