I've been thinking about what we can do for some interesting activities this fall besides our classes. Here are some ideas -- please suggest more and give me your thoughts one the ones I've listed.
Dixon Apple Farm Pumpkin Patch (in Moriarty?) Tours of foodie places: Dion's, Krispy Kreme, Sweet Tomatoes Tours of other places: Pet Store, Whole Foods Market
Other ideas...? |

| I run a farmers' market at San Felipe Pueblo. Our calendar is as follows: Aug. 27 - Children's Day, Sep. 17-Elder Day, Oct. 8-Great Chile Cookoff! Fundraiser, and Oct. 29-Pumpking Day. The market is every Wednesday 3-7pm til Oct. 29. No admission on any day except Oct. 8, where it will be $8/adults, $5/older children, and Free/11 and under. Our website will be ready Thursday 8/14, http://www.puebloofsanfelipe.org/farmersmarket.html for info, directions, calendar, etc. or just ask me if you guys want to come up as a group on any of those days. I'll be glad to have you. |

| Me again. I was posting a message about field trips and I started thinking that maybe a monthly field trip to somewhere would be cool. Just schedule it or post it. By responding to your post the responders will be "signing up" to go. We are definetly in for the Popejoy excursions, Krispy Kreme, etc. just let us know when and where. Some field trip/activity ideas that don't require teachers would be the free concerts in Santa Fe on Thursdays 10am or the planet (Mars?) expo at UNM or Tijeras on the 26th. Both are free and the info is in New Mexikids mag. We are going, but it would be fun for the kids if we went together. As I said in my main posting, we are free after 12:00 on Mon and Wed, all day Tues and Thurs, possibly weekends, but usually we reserve that for family time. Wednesdays are devoted to my farmers' market until Oct. 29, after that will be free after noon. If you schedule something we really want to do, we will make time for it and most likely both my husband and I will be there to help with kids, organization, etc. |
