FYI for those interested in the convention. I picked up a flyer for it at Tidal Wave books on Menaul (great resource for used books and curriculum). If you are a "registered" attendee you have more time to shop and you can attend the used curriculum sale and/or sell yourself. Early bird registration is over but for one person the price is $40 for preregistration (postmarked by 3/29). After that it is $45. It is also $12 more for each additional family member aged 11-18. Beware, they are not allowing children under 11 years of age except nursing babies. If you want to sell used curriculum you have to pay $15 per table space and you must be registered by March 29th.
Since the price is so steep and I am so cheap I am only interested in the free stuff. Free activities/times:
Thursday April 22: 2-4pm GETTING STARTED CLASS (for beginning homeschoolers); (exhibit hall open to registered attendees only). 7-9pm OPENING SESSION (main exhibit hall closed); PEASALL SISTERS IN CONCERT; LIVE MUSICAL COMEDY PERFORMANCE OF "IT'S MY HOME SCHOOL AND I'LL CRY IF I WANT TO!"
Friday April 23 : 9:30-12noon EXHIBIT HALL OPEN (open for registered attendees only during the afternoon)
Saturday April 24: 9:30-1:00pm EXHIBIT HALL OPEN
