Hi everyone! It's almost that time of the year again! Time to begin thinking about Santa Fe Homeschool Association's Annual Science Fair, which will be held the end of February 2005. This Science Fair is open to any and all homeschooling families. In order to begin planning for the space and the number of participants, I need an idea of how many families are interested. Please email me by January 14th, if your child(ren) would like to participate in the Science Fair, so I can reserve an adequate space. [Additional Information] The Science Fair will be held in Santa Fe (location TBA - pending # of participants). There will be a non-refundable Entry Fee of approximately $2/entry to cover Participation Ribbon & Certificate costs. Tentative Date: Monday - February 28th - afternoon Please try to keep projects within the proportions of an average science fair background board (available at Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart). Feel free to email me with any questions. |

| Is there a specific age range for the participants or for all ages of homeschoolers? |

| I'd like to let Raven participate in the science fair. Please give us more info. This is my first year homeschooling, so any specifics on what exactly we need to present would be greatly appreciated. My name is Carrie Z. My email is cypressholland@wmconnect.com. Please sign us up as we'll be coming even if we're not great. Where do we send the money? Thanks. |

I'm sorry for the delay in replying. Here's a little more on the Science Fair:
It will be held in Santa Fe on February 28th between 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM. The fair will be very relaxed in structure.
Children are welcome to follow the Scientific Method, but it's not necessary. If they'd like to use a project display backboard, these can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart.
The only rules that must be followed are: *If the project is of a "messy" nature - please bring a drop cloth. *Everyone must clean up when the fair is over.
I'll contact everyone who has signed up, via email, with the exact location and information for the entry fee / certificates of participation.
Thanks!
