Forwarding email sent to me!
Vicki

Hi everybody!

Looks like we can have a class on Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. here on the east side if we have enough people. Again, PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL.

I need to know by the end of this weekend (1/23/05), sooner if at all possible, so we can get this set up. Please let me know if this works with your schedule, if you are still interested, and FORWARD this email to anybody who might be interested.

Also, the "text book" for this class will need to be ordered. We will get a greatly reduced rate if we order as a group ($13 vs. $20). For girls, it is called Stitches and Pins, for boys Buckles and Bobbins. They are trying to place an order by Friday (tomorrow), so if you know you will want a book, please let me ASAP. The website for the book is http://www.castlemoyle.com if you would like to look at the info on it.

Thanks for all the interest! Call me soon!

Thanks so much!

I can't swing the classes, since we are in therapy up until three, but I'd be interested in ordering the books, if they will let me get in on the group deal.  I'd be interested in a boy one and a girl one.

Kari, you'd need to get in touch with Nicole... I know her from the Kirtland Homeschooling group and I'm pretty sure she doesn't check the boards here..  You can email her at myhomeschool@msn.com.

Thanks!

Hello,
What is the age group for this?  I have a five and a half year old that I would be interested in taking.
Thanks,
Ana

I'm sorry, it's for ages 9 and up (maybe they will still offer the class in a few years!).. I had posted on a previous thread about the ages and other requirements... I should have referenced that.. Here's a copy of the previous thread...

PLEASE FORWARD to any homeschoolers (groups or individuals) you know!!!

Hi! For those of you who were interested in the GREAT opportunity, but couldn't commit to such a long drive to Rio Rancho, I am working with the ASG on getting an East Side class started up. It would (more than likely) be held at a store at I-40 and San Mateo. I am still waiting to find out what dates and times are available at this location.

We need 8 to 12 children signed up to be able to do this, so I am asking you to forward this to any homeschool groups or individuals you are connected with.

PLEASE CONTACT ME (Nicole) directly by email (myhomeschool@msn.com) or by phone if you are interested so I have an idea of the numbers!

Thanks so much!
Nicole Uebel
(I edited this email to remove Nicole's phone number.. Please contact her by email if you are interested!  Thanks! Vicki)

HERE'S THE ORGINAL EMAIL FOR RIO RANCHO AREA
There will be a beginning sewing class offered to any home-schooling student this semester.  The class will be taught by Julie Thorenson.  She is a member of the Albuquerque Sewing Guild.  This is a free service offered to the community by the ASG. A community project is involved and all the students will be encouraged to participate in the Fiber Arts Festival.  This festival, which is close to Memorial Day, will allow the students to show off their work.  Please consider participating.  This is a great opportunity to introduce your kids to sew.   Boys are welcomed!  Please read the specifics below.   If anyone is interested in participating in the class please email or call Ruby, 891-0822, by Sunday, January 9.

Beginning Sewing Class
Every Wednesday, beginning January 26 to May 18
Place: Rio Rancho Calvary
Time: 10:00am to 12noon
Cost: Free  (some supplies may need to be purchased)
Ages: 9 and up
Equipment needed: Bring a sewing machine.  If you don't have one there will be some sewing machines available
