Here's a link to an article about a homeschooler that played on a local high school football team, went on to get an NCAA football scholarship (He was the first homeschooler to do this.. The scholarship was revoked and later reinstated due HSLDA making a case and now the NCAA has guidelines and applications for homeschoolers. The article stated that 120 players were homeschoolers in the past recruiting season.) and he is currently playing NFL football with the Miami Dolphins.... I thought it was an awesome testament for homeschoolers in general.. And if anyone has a sports crazy husband, they will really appreciate this! (Mine is and did!)
What a great article! It will be interesting to see how SB789 fairs out here in NM. This bill allows homeschoolers to participate in high school athletics but at what degree is yet to be determined. Thanks for posting this! Blessings, Jacque
