Just in case anyone else notices the number of message board members we have (it's posted in the lower right area of the window), we didn't just have a mass exodus!
About every 6 months I email people who haven't visited the boards in a long time and offer to remove them. Anyone who doesn't ask to be kept, or visit the board within a few days, gets "weeded out". Call me compulsive, but I just like the idea that the number of members listed actually reflects the number of people who actually visit the boards.
Many registrations I removed (there were about 20, I think) were people who had moved, stopped homeschooling, or only registered so they could advertise their businesses, so it's good to do a little housecleaning now and then. I should note that I'm not talking about co-op members here (we have about 40 families), but just those registered to post on the message board.
By the way, thank you to everyone who posts, for helping to make this such a supportive forum for homeschoolers. |
