Hi! Our co-op is now actively planning activites for younger grade school age kids, particularly in the 6-8 year old range. I wanted to alert you to this because I thought it was possible that some of you who aren't currently co-op members may have thought our activities were mainly for preschoolers. If you're interested in joining us at an activity to check out the group, please contact Julie at ahomeschoolcoop@yahoo.com.

This sounds great!  Andrew, who is 8 would enjoy doing activities that have a focus for the cognitive and socio-emotional needs of children older thatn 6.  Of course, he loves the younger kids, too.

Elizabeth,
I e-mailed you at the provided address but I thought I'd drop a note here as well, just in case.  We are FINALLY interested !  I am relatively new at this homeschool thing and beginning a new year has been challenging, but I think I'm ready....my kids are MORE than ready to join other kids that are thier age and are also homeschooled.  They are convinced they are two of only a small handfull of others that school at home. Can't wait to hear from you.

Hi Amy, great! I'm sure you'll be hearing from Julie (who handles scheduling activities for prospective members for our group), if you haven't already. We have a very active group, and we have grown to the point where we have far more activites planned each week than any one of us could possibly do. There's plenty to choose from, and many families for you to get to know. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Thanks!  I haven't heard from Julie yet but I'm sure I will soon and I can't wait!  Hopefully we'll meet soon and I can start to put faces to all these names!
