Dear Parents, I am looking to find Homeschool families with children ages 10,11, or 12, in the Rio Rancho Riversedge I, II, or III area. We are new to the area as well as homeschooling. My hope is to iniciate unstructured playtime for my child. As well as friendships localy. We came from a small town in which children still spent more of their time playing together, rather than in front of the TV or Game Qubes etc. If you are interested in old fashion playtime, Please contact me and we can meet at the Rio Vista park to get aquainted.

Hi, and welcome to Albuquerque. There are two groups you might want to check out.
First, there is GOAL. We do meet on the east side of town, but most of the kids are in the age group that you are looking for and they get together once a week for the 'unstructured' playtime that you seeking. They have a yahoo group at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GOAL-GatheringOfAlternativeLearners.
