HI Homeschoolers,
I am willing to set this up and apply for a group of homeschooled 4th graders to attend the water festival even though I do not have a 4th grader. Only 4th graders may attend this event, no younger or older siblings! This makes it a bit more difficult for homeschoolers to attend but I wanted to see if there was an interest. I was told that since the homeschooling community has never attended in the past that our application is very likely to be accepted. The 8th Annual Middle Rio Grande Children’s Water Festival will be held October 19 & 20, 2006 at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
The event is open to 4th grade students and their teachers from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho public and private schools. Participation is limited to approximately 45 teachers and 1000 students. Flyers will be mailed to teachers the first week of May announcing the event and calling for registration. Class selection will be made in late August.
