Not exactly about homeschooling, but this article from Wired magazine is pretty interesting. It begins by focusing on a husband and wife who live near here and run a scientific supply business. It goes on to talk about how government regulations have made it very difficult to set up real chemistry labs in this country unless you're a college or a business. Their point of concern is that many of our top innovators got their start being "geeky" kids with a chemistry lab in their garage...
