Hi everyone! This came to me via email and I thought I'd post it in case anyone is interested in following up with Eve about it. If so, please contact her directly, as she isn't reading the message board.

I came across your group while looking for groups that would be a good fit for the project I'm doing related to my recently published book, Journey to Mythaca <http://journeytomythaca.com>.

Journey to Mythaca is a fantasy that came out in paperback in October, best suited to children in fourth grade and up. The Mythaca map project involves using readers' maps and illustrations to create a composite map that will be printed on the end pages of the hardcover edition, which I hope to print by the end of the school year. I'll use all the drawings I get, either in the hardcover edition or on the website.

If possible, I'd like to visit each of the groups that participate in the project early in the new year to introduce it and to meet the artists.  Another idea that was just suggested to me by a California home-school group is to have the kids read the book before I come. I would then meet with them and read while they draw, and take their pictures with me at the end. I live in California, but I will be in Albuquerque in early March so it would be possible arrange either kind of visit. An email group could work too, or just an announcement with the contact info. In the meantime, I'd be happy to put a review copy of the book in the mail.

If you'd like to discuss the idea more, please write or call 805/441-6739.

Hoping to hear from you soon,

Eve Neuhaus
