We are trying to learn the metric system in our house.  I need your best recommendations of any books, posters, or a really good website that you've come across.

I'm looking for the basics, a very simplified version for both me and the kids.  I'm not math-minded at all.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Carol, do you mean the decimal system or the metric measurements?

Sorry, that was a bit curt.  I mean what kind of things will you be doing with your information?  Are you hoping to add and subtract and that kind of thing or is it for baking or sewing and that kind of thing?

Cool2Learn thank you for the links!

and Lyndi I was referring to the system that the rest of the world uses but not the U.S. whereby we would say we are walking so many kilometers to the store today instead of 1/4 of a mile.  For some reason, we've been reading several things lately that were using metric measurements (kilometer, etc.) and Sean wanted to know how far that was, etc.  I actually found a site yesterday that had what you need to multiply by to change from inches to meters, etc.  so that was good.  And now I have some other links to look at.

Thanks
