Hi there!

I hope everyone had a great holiday week!  We're planning a trip to the Explora museum next Friday, Jan. 2. Please join us -- the museum is a blast.  We went last week and the kids had a wonderful time -- and we didn't even see half of it.

It's much bigger than the children's museum in SantaFe, and includes an outooor (but enclosed) playground.

Admission is $3 for children age 1-11; $7 for anyone 11 and older.  If you think you're likely be back more than a few times a year, a family membership is available for $50/yr, and includes free admission for two parents and up to 4 children under 18.

We'll be there around 12:30.  We probably won't wait long in the lobby area, since my guys can't stand not being in the display areas.  I will have my celphone (507-230 with me and on, so if you get there and don't see us, call me and I'll let you know where to find us.

The Explora is on Mountain Road, east of 19th street -- across from the Natural History Museum.

See you there!

Hi Sylvia! So do you feel its worth a 1yr membership? We've never been but I'd like something cool to take the kids to that they'd like to see all the time.

I do think it's worth a membership.  We could easily go once or twice a month, my boys liked it so much.  For you with 3 boys, getting in just once is $16 -- only 3 visits a year and it would pay for itself.  Sooner if take your husband along just once.  It really is great -- so much to do there for all ages.

I have been to Explora twice now, and I agree that it's definitely worth a membership. Now that they charge for any child over age 1 (and my daughter is 16 months old) I have to pay $13 for one visit. Since I'll definitely be going more than 3 times in a year, it's cheaper to pay the $50 membership. Both my kids had a blast both times we went, and we haven't even seen everything yet.
