I'm thinking about what to do for the craft group in May.
I have some marigold seedlings started that should be about ready for planting in May. I was thinking about doing a paint-your-own pot and then pot-your-own-flower activity. I have both clay pots/acrylic paints (for bigger kids) and plastic pots with colorable liner (for littler kids).
If you're interested in coming, could you let me know? Reply to this post. I'd like a rough head-count so I can be sure to have enough pots. I'm thinking it'll cost about $3 per child to cover costs of pots, paints, plants, potting soil, etc.
Could you also tell me what day/time would be good for you? It's tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 10th at 3pm, but we could change that.
The location hasn't been determined. I could host it, but if someone else wants to, I'd be happy to bring the stuff to your house instead. This is a probably a backyard type activity. |

Planting Marigolds is a good idea for us. We'd have fun. Monday is fine except that we have a T-ball game at 5:00. Soooo, an earlier time is better for me.

Sounds like a great craft, but I also would like an earlier time. Mornings around 10:00 could work out if we choose a park to do this at and then we could bring a picnic lunch along. (Being that this is an outdoor craft.) Just an idea, praying I'm in town that is.
My older kids attend Fort Lone Tree Homeschool Camp that week, and I'm trying to get them a ride so that I don't have to come back from Capitan with the baby by myself. I'll confirm with you a little later in the month when I have travel plans arranged.
Thanks Lisa |

We would love to be involved! Mornings are better for us too, though I could make 3pm work if need be. Sounds like fun.

Dallin and I would love to attend. Mornings are best for us as well. I agree that the park would be fun too, although I may have a hard time getting Dallin to work on a craft project if there is a ladder to climb and a slide to go down. My house would also be an option. I could set up a folding table on the back patio. -Kari |

| OK, I'm changing the time of the craft to 10am. And I decided we could do it at my house. First, because you're right that the kids might not be able to do a craft with the tempting distractions of swings and slides, and second because it'll be easier to wash the kids off at my house than at a park. I hope you all can come -- it should be fun! |
