There is a website called: Pe'ah http://www.peah.com/index.php and they offer cards to use for educator discounts. I don't know if I'll actually order one through them, because you can go into any program from Word to Publisher and use a business card or label template to create and personalize your own.

Anyway, I have checked around and here are some places that offer Educators Discounts: Staples (sign up online), Bound to Be Read, Hastings, Barnes and Noble, Office Depot, Office Maxx and Jo Ann's. I am volunteering myself to call around and see how many places I can get to offer discounts to homeschoolers. Though, I probably won't get back with you guys with a better list until next week. The people who have gotten back with me, told me you have to go into the locations and speak to someone in Customer Service. I believe some places like Barnes and Noble might issue "Educator Cards." They also give you a list of what you can't use them for....periiodicals, etc.

Either, we can try to come up with some sort of group card.....easy to do in programs like Publisher (it has it's own logo creator) or use clip art, etc. and laminate them.....make our own individually....whatever.

I noticed yesterday at Bound to Be Read that they offer a 21% discount  on most books to homeschoolers.  You have to provide a copy of your letter verifying your registration with the state though.

I wonder if the BTBR registration letter requirement is a new thing?  I have had a discount card for about a year at Bound to be Read, and they never asked for any documentation.  Maybe it depends who is there when you sign up.  Hastings also gave me one without documentation, but that was a couple of years ago.
