I just stumbled on this website:

http://www.edhelper.com/

I haven't used the site at all, but it looks very useful.  Printables for all different subjects, grades K-8 or 8 and up.   It's $20 to subscribe for the year, though.  Has anyone here used it??  I'd love to know what you thought of it.

I have used this site for the past year and it has come in handy for both kids.
I can always find things there to supplement our work at home, and for the $20
it has been worth it to me.

What a great site!  Thank you for posting it.  I used  http://www.enchantedlearning.com a lot last year.  It also comes in very handy.  Thanks again, Rebekah

Hi.  Another great site is:

http://www.schoolexpress.com/

If you go to the units section, you can print 4 for free..  They have 165 available.  Sorscha loves to go on their and pick something that looks fun to do.  These also work great with:

The Young Scientist Club

The Young Scientist Club will send you a prepackaged science kit once or twice a month.  Everything is included for all the experiments.  There is a teacher guide and then a student guide.  It is lively and fun....not stuffy.  Lots of graphing, charting, etc.  Sorscha just completed one on Water...I think kit 13.  Now she will probably print a unit from School Express to further her studies.

Have fun!

I second the SchoolExpress website.  I paid the money a few years ago.. I only paid $14 (I'm sure they've gone up since then) and got to download all of their units..  I used the holiday ones to help me explain the ideas to Matthew.. But right before my subscription ran out, I downloaded everything they had to save for a later date... I also am still on their email list.  Every week they send you a free unit.  You don't get as much information and activities as you do when you pay for the units, but it's good enough for free!

Another site that was free in the beginning but now to access everything you have to pay for is http://www.abcteach.com.  We lived in Okinawa 4 yrs ago and I asked her to make a printable world map that would have Asia/Japan on the far left and the US to the right.  She did it!  I wanted a map that I could show how we had to travel across the Pacific Ocean to get from the US to Japan...
