have them call us at 540-338-8899 or email info@homeschoolfoundation.org.
If you would like to make a gift to help these families, here's how.

Many of you may not be aware of the accident which occurred at Allsup's in Belen on Saturday, July 30, when a car drove into the store at a high rate of speed injuring several people. One of those people was Ken Newkirk, a fellow brother in Christ and home school dad, and the one who sustained the worst injuries. Ken is paralyzed from the waist down. Before the accident, Ken’s wife gave birth to their sixth child. Baby Joseph Thomas was born with Down’s Syndrome and a cleft palate. To add insult to injury, Ken did not have medical insurance. As you can imagine, this has been extremely difficult for the Newkirk family financially, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. This family has many needs, the greatest being financial, since there has been NO income coming in since the accident. An account has been set up at all branches of Wells Fargo Bank. The account number is 9193058022 and is entitled the Newkirk Benefit Fund. The Newkirk family is also in need of food, diapers, and every day items. For more information contact Donald and Irene Garcia at (505) 864-3738 or Ramon and Betty Martinez at (505) 864-7851
First Baptist Church Belen will be hosting a parenting conference featuring Mark Hamby. The conference is Friday, November 4th from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, November 5th from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. He will also speak during the 10:30 am Sunday morning service. Tickets are $20 per person ($40 per couple). Lunch will be $6 per person. For tickets or more information, contact Jeff or Shannon Ash at 864-4029 or email at theashfamily@earthlink.net. Seating is limited.
On October 3-7, 2005, Rio Grande Enrichment Studies is hosting the Pilgrim Institute Rudiments Course in America’s Christian History with Master Teacher, Mrs. Ruth Smith in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For more information and to register, contact:
