The only concern with something like that is that is opens the door for the government to further monitor what is being taught in your homeschool.
We should be able to get a deduction, since we are currently paying taxes which finance public schools which we don't use, but that is true for grandparents as well...everyone pays for those schools and the theory is that the whole community benefits from them. However, I believe that it is also because we pay that taxes that we are supposed to be take advantage of services offered through the public schools.

I feel that we should get a deduction, as long as there are no strings attached. This actually looks like a pretty basic bill that does not attempt to place regulation on the homeschool.
Just a side note - this was introduced by Dr. Steven Komadina that was my OB when I was pregnant with the twins. He is a real down to earth guy, by what I know of him. I do not see him being the type to place unecessary requirements on this. |
