We're coming up to the best time of year to buy all those "back to school" type supplies. I was wondering if anyone could post if they see some particularly good bargains?

Eric always goes through TONS of those standard 70-page spiral notebooks. We bought 30 last August and have already run out. But we got them at Target during last year's back-to-to school sale for 10/$1. If anybody sees such a deal again, can you post, because I'm gonna buy about 50-60 notebooks this year, and I hate spending a dollar apiece for them later in the year.

I don't know if they still have it going on, but Walmart had notebooks for 5 cents.

Target was advertising the 10/$1 notebooks in today's paper.  I know this because I just went by there, didn't even think to look for those, and then came back and saw that in the ad!!!!!!!!!!!!  Guess I will make another trip, or just go by Walmart!

Thanks, guys. I guess I was too soon, because I went to Target this morning and they were still only setting up the display area that'll have all their back to school supplies. There didn't seem to be much at walmart either. Maybe tomorrow!

I just got a flyer from Kmart adverstising 10 notebooks for $1 and other supplies on sale too. The sale starts Sunday, July 23.

Just a warning about Kmart--it's been my experience that they advertise things they don't have and don't know when they're getting. But I thought I'd let you know about the sale anyhow, in case you are going there for some other reason.

Sara, it's funny you said that about K-mart. About a year ago, I just STOPPED reading their ads when they came in the mail, because it had been so frustrating to always be going there to get something they had on sale and it was never anywhere to be found.

I spend a week or so every July shopping the back to school sales, trying to gauge how many glue sticks, markers, crayons, pencils, notebooks, etc. I'll need and making it a goal to try to get everything for as cheap as possible. I did finally get the notebooks on sale at Target. Also I found gluesticks in a pack for 6/$1, colored pencils 12-pack for 50-cents.
