Both the co-op and my MOMS Club have been donating to needy kids through the Albuquerque Public Schools homeless program. It helps the many thousands of kids in the APS system who are homeless.

Right now, we're collecting the "most needed" items for these kids, and you may be surprised to learn that it isn't back to school supplies but things like underwear and soap.

If you can help, please contact me, or bring any supplies you can donate to one of the Thursday park days (Loma del Norte, 10am), which I attend regularly.

Here's a list of what is needed (toiletries in medium size please):

Shampoo
Conditioner
Deodorant
Soap
Combs/brushes
Underwear (for ages 3-18 if choosing high school boys, boxers are preferred to briefs)
Socks
Bras (any size)
