Hope that I am posting this on the correct board.  If it is on the wrong location please redirect it...

The First Tee Golf Program at the Santa Ana Golf Course is looking into starting a Fall Session for Homeschoolers.  For those of you that are not familiar with this program I recommend that you view their website.  It is a great program that is receiving great reviews on National Television.  Their mission is to provide a learning facility and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf.

My son (7) just completed the First Tee Golf program at the Santa Ana Golf Course and loved it.  They have wonderful coaches in this program that are great with the kids.

The First Tee Coach is looking into starting a Fall Session for homeschoolers.  There is to be a meeting on Mon. August 8th at 10 am at the Prairie Star Restuarant.  If you are a Leader or Facilitator of a Homeschool group I would reccommend that you attend this meeting so that you can receive the needed information for the families within your group.  The main coach would like to work with group leaders who then would pass on the information to the families within their groups.  This meeting is not only for groups it is also for homeschooling parents that currently do not belong to a group.  On their website there is a phone number for any questions that you might have.

Like many homeschoolers I am always on the look out for great classes to enroll my kids in and this is one that I highly recommend.  I am grateful for finding this message board to help me in this area!

Hi Suz,

I called the coach a couple days ago and havent heard anything yet.  Do you know the possible times for the golf program.  We have something on Tuesdays and I dont want it to conflict if this thing goes.

THANKS
Kari

The following is an email from the First Tee coach.  Please note that the dates have changed from Tue. & Thurs.  to Mon. & Wed...  Please pass this info on to anyone that you think would be interested in this program.  I highly reccomend it!

Dear Parents:

The following is the fall homeschool class schedule:

September 12- October 26          Monday & Wednesday     2:30-4:00pm

We will need to have at least 20 children enrolled to hold this class. If at least 20 children do not register, the class will be canceled. (Maximum enrollment is 30 children.)  To be eligible to participate in the fall homeschool session, children must turn seven on or before October 26, 2005.
A $50.00 registration fee must be paid by all participants, and a new registration form completed. If you have not before been in The First Tee program, you can find a downloadable registration form and registration information on our website at:  http://www.thefirstteecentralnm.org . If you have any questions you may call the office at 771-1762.

Thank you,
Rob Lowry
