Hi Celissa.  I know that there are a ton of unschoolers here in NM.  We being one of them.

Here is a really neat (unschool philosophy high school) Maybe they could supply further information.

Here is a local Santa Fe yahoo group.  It does not mention unschool specifically, but maybe someone knows of an unschool group.  It does look inclusive, so maybe a junk of them unschool.

Also, check out GOAL, here in Albuquerque.  My understanding is that they are mostly unschoolers, though I am unsure.  They also have a ton of teen events.

Good luck and have a great move.
Crystal

PS:  Also check out GOAL, I have never been

Have you done  a google search for Sandra Dood?  she is the QUEEN of unschooling.  We are fortunate enough that she lives hight here in ABQ.  I don't think she is doing anything such as groups with teens, but she would certainly have the low-down on unschooling teens.

That's Sandra Dodd, right?  Just a typo I think, but it would mess up the googling!

Here are some of her Radical Unschooling sites.

This one I love because they have a list down the left side (Ex: sleep, eat, math, etc.) where you can punch it up and read her thoughts.  Amazing insight.

There is a state-wide Yahoo group that you might want to check out.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewMexicoHomeschooling/

It's mostly focused on Albuquerque, but there are people on it from all over the state.

If you don't mind driving down to Albuquerque from Santa Fe.  There is a group of teenagers who meet weekly and plan their own activities.  The group is a mix of unschoolers and those that are more formal.  They usually discuss their plans on the Yahoo group.

Hi again.  Here is the link that shows the contact information.  This unschool looks really fabulous.  I hope it is still there when Sorscha is older.
