Now open to other homeschoolers:
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and kids to an educational
Musical Instrument Demonstration!
Harry Irizarry, a local treasure and elite musician, will enlighten parents and kids alike to a number of beautiful musical instruments. He plays guitar, mandolin, ukelele, requinto, and bass! See Harry's website at http://www.hhisongs.com
Harry will introduce himself, discuss the instruments he has brought with him, and will play us some magical, beautiful music on each of the instruments. Afterwards, Harry will allow parents to help their children GENTLY touch an instrument or two. (Yes, a little bit of GENTLE hands-on will occur.)
Harry is a gem to do this for us - please don't miss it! He 's quite an elite musician and he's got a heart for kids; I'm really confident that you are all going to love this!
This is near the Montgomery and Tramway intersection in the NE Heights. I will e-mail you the address as the date gets closer (because this is at our home.)
Monday, June 19th, at 9:30 a.m. (lasts 1 hour)
I chose Monday because that seems to be the least busy of all workdays for our group (no dance or gymnastic classes). I chose the morning hour of 9:30 a.m. since we'll be outside in the summertime.
Please note three important things: 1. We need a minimum of 20 (paying) kiddos. (So far we have 13 signed-up.) 2. Cost, per child over one-year-old, is $5. Babies under one-year-old are free. Chaperoning adults are free, of course. 3. Parents need to stay and supervise their kiddos for safety.
I will provide some coloring sheets about the instruments that Harry will be bringing and some crayons (an activity to do while listening). If you bring snacks, please be sure to clean up and help us control bugs, etc. Filtered water will be available and feel free to come in and use our bathrooms. If you're going to take a shower, just bring your own towel. ( Ha, just kidding! Got to add something shocking to keep you hooked as I ramble on and on - oldest marketing trick in the book! )
Please RSVP ASAP and notify me of cancelations ASAP. (We MUST have 20 paying kids to reserve Harry.)

Hi Carissa,
Long time no see. We would love to join you for this. I would have 2 kids over 1yo that would be participating. I hope enough kids sign up so this can happen.
Thanks for setting it up.
