Our UNIVERSE!
Amazing Video Illustrates the Power of Geometric Progression

This is a great video for kids/teens/parents alike - it really gives you perspective on our great universe . . . how big (and tiny) it is!

If you love math and science, you'll enjoy Powers of Ten, a short video produced almost three decades ago by Charles and Ray Eames that wisks you away from a picnic in the park to the outer limits of the universe, and back down into the microscopic world as seen in a man's resting hand.

The video takes you to both places by zooming out at 10 times 10 meters every 10 seconds until the universe is visible. The second half zooms downward even faster to the universe inside the human body.

Carissa, this has been a favorite with our kids for years... and Neal and I remember watching it in school when we were kids. What a neat video.
