Please list local scout troops, 4-H, bands, etc. that are for, or that at least welcome, homeschoolers.

Hi!  My son belongs to the Boy Scout Troop at Double Eagle.  They have been welcoming and respectfully curious and supportive of homeschooling.
My daughter belongs to a Girl Svout Group at Risen Savior Catholic Church.  This group welcomes Brownies, Daisys, and Juniors.  We also welcome people of all faiths to attend.

Boy Scouts meeting times vary according to your childs age.  It would probably be best to call Double Eagle for specific times and contact names.

Girl Scouts will meet on August 17th rom 6-7:30.

I forgot to add that the Risen Savior Troop (like the Double Eagle Troop) is not homeschoolers, but I feel very much wecomed there, and they know we homeschool.
Scouting is cool--the scouting activities have really enriched some of our homeschooling curriculum.
Thanks,
Renee

This info is from another group, so I really know nothing more about it, but here it is:

Quoted Text
At Netherwood Church at the NW Corner of San Mateo  and Indian School Rd. on
8/8 from 1 to 3 will  be a "Band Open House".  Chat  with the teacher(s) and see what it's all about.  This year there will be 3  levels of band:
beginning, intermediate, and advanced.  There's no  age limit on these levels as I understand.  The class will meet twice a  week:  Monday and Thursday.  Times will depend on which band level  your child is in.  The cost is $40.00 a  month:
don't know exactly what all that price  involves...you'll need to ask on 8/8.
The band will meet at the same  church....Netherwood.

Where is Risen Savior Catholic Church? East side or West side? Major cross streets?

Another neat group is "Awanas Clubs" - they focus on learning Christian scriptures and they're kind of like cub/boy scouts.  They start at 3 and go up through high school age.  It's cute - my friend's kids are in it and we visited a couple of times although we just decided to not continue.  It's easy to find if you google it.
