Additional events to know about:

May 7th (Saturday)   $25 for Adults and $12 for Youth 13 & Under  Run for the Zoo!  (and walk with us, too!)  http://www.run4zoo.org  Race packets will be available for pick up at Sportz Outdoor (6915 Montgomery Blvd N.E.) Packet Pick-up will be held Thurs. 5/4 from 4:00-6:00, Fri. 5/5 from 4:00-6:00 and Sat. 5/6 from 9:30 am - 6:00 pm.

May 13th and 14th (Saturday and Sunday)  FREE ADMISSION!!!!  AIR, WIND, and WHEELS FAIR at Balloon Fiesta Park!  This is a new festival that is underbudgeted and cannot afford much advertising; however, note that they are expecting over 5,000 participants and that is not terribly crowded considering how big the Balloon Fiesta Park is.  What's it all about?  KITES!  (big kites, stunt kites, kite boarders, kite-making, kite contests, buggy riders), HOT AIR BALLOONS!, and SPECIALTY BICYCLES!    Fun for kids of all ages!   Contact is Bev Moore at 505-620-5252  There are no formal competitions at this time, but there will be a candy drop!   http://members.tripod.com/~TKOGunn1/kitecalender.htm  or  

May 20th (Saturday)   Admission price is unknown.   Rio Grande Valley CELTIC FESTIVAL and HIGHLAND GAMES  at the Balloon Fiesta Park from 9 am to 5 pm.   Experience the food, dance, music, athletics, attirs, and history of the celtic heritage.  Contact person is John Caldwell at 266-6704   http://www.scotmall.com/celticfestival/  displays the brochure.

Kids Variety Show

The Kids Variety Shows are an Outpost tradition. They're great and they're for and by kids of all ages and levels. A wonderful relaxed performance environment. Call us at 268-0044 to reserve a performance slot for a student or child. Or better yet, have them call!! Warning this show is KG-Rated. Adults must be accompanied by a child.
