A group of four musicians that play medieval, renaissance and traditional music from Spain and France. Tom Lozano, Rima Montoya, Sharon Berman and Juan Wijngaard use a variety of instruments in their performances, including hurdy-gurdy, recorder, guitar, flute, tromba marina, bagpipe, lute, bandurria, accordion, and several types of percussion, all of which combine with their voices. 7 pm. Children’s Seed Festival at the Garden
Cleebrate the connections between seeds, plants and humans with some “seed-happy” people during the Children’s Seed Festival at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden. Visitor can learn through hands-on discovery stations about the ways seeds travel, the amazing variety of seed shapes and sizes and the incredible adaptations that allow seeds to grow in some of the harshest environments in the world. 10 am-2 pm. National Junior Ranger Day Activities
In celebration of Junior Ranger Day, Hawks Aloft, Inc. a non-profit organization that cares for injured indigenous birds will be at the Petrogylph National Monument Visitor Center. Docent from Hawks Aloft will present educational programs on the anatomy, habit, and behavior of indigenous wild birds. Bird identification tips and pointers will also be discussed. 10 am-3 pm.
