Uncover the mysteries of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science during tours for families with 2 to 12 year-old children. Tours will be led by museum educators and will include age-appropriate activities and specimen observations.

Candlelight Tours! at El Rancho de Las Golondrinas

To enhance your daytime experience at the ranch, you will have a unique opportunity to come back on Saturday evening to participate in a candlelight tour that will take you back to the days of the Civil War in the New Mexico! You will view several "vignettes," depicting everyday life of soldiers and civilians in 1862. Tours will be given by New Mexico Civil War Congress and the Friends of Fort Selden. After the tour, you will have an opportunity to chat with re-enactors by the campfire, while enjoying hot chocolate and cookies! Candlelight tours will be given every 20 minutes, startings at 8 pm, on May 5th. There is no charge for candlelight tours; however, reservations are required. Battlefield New Mexico: the Civil War and More

Military drills, skirmishes and cannon fire will highlight two action- filled days, including reenactments of the battles of Glorieta Pass and Apache Canyon fought near Santa Fe during the War Between the States.
Visit Confederate and Union camps, talk to Spanish soldados, learn about the hisory of Buffalo Soldiers in NM and more!

Albuquerque Civic Chorus

Please join us for our Spring Concerts: 7:30 P.M. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE, corner of Central and  Carlisle. "The Road to Carnegie" The first half of the concert will feature several of the pieces which the Chorus will sing in New York: Mozart "Te Deum", Handel "Coronation Anthems #1", Thompson "Last Words of David", Thiman "Go, Lovely Rose" For the second half, what better send off to New York than selections from some of our favorite Broadway musicals!
Selections from: Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, Les Miserables, Show Boat, Chorus Line.

Admission is $5/person

Kids Day at Maloof Airpark from 9am-3pm.

Kids get to fly a radio controlled airplane for free!  
The Albuquerque Radio Control Club (ARCC) will have free food, drinks and flight lessons for any child present.

Directions:  From I-25. Take the Montano exit (#22 to the west.  Continue west on Montono, cross the Rio Grande River, past Coors Rd until you reach Unser Blvd.  Turn Right on Unser and bear left up to the top of the hill.  Once on top of the mesa, turn left on Molten Rock Rd.  At the "T", turn left onto 81st St NW, past the housing development on your left, and the Boca Negra Horse Complex on your right.  Turn right and go through the gate into the airpark.

Fishing Clinic at Tingley Beach

Tingley Beach Central Pond.  
Visit the event tent that will be set up at Tingley Beach to learn more about fly-fishing, fly-tying, fishing etiquette, catch-and-release practices and how to "catch the big one" Fishermen from New Mexico Trout, as well as the BioPark fishing Guides will be on hand to share their expertise.  Equipment and supplies are available to use during the clinic free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
