I can think of two ways to have a class:

First way: We pick a theme (music, art, spanish, etc) and ask members to volunteer teach a single class on this theme (not all members would be expected to volunteer for each theme. Depending on number of volunteers (say, 5), we would teach a class for that many weeks (say, 5 weeks), with each volunteer taking a single week.

Second way: A single member could offer to teach a class on a single theme (say, natural science or crafts) and then teach it weekly, or bi-weekly, or monthly, for a set number of classes.

Do we want to do it one way, the other way, both ways, or something else altogether?

Maybe there might be more volunteers if people worked in teams and could brainstorm together to plan out class subjects as there will be, for at least myself, a sharp learning curve. Then within the team, people could rotate to teach. I know that I could handle craft projects but I have no expertise in teaching. Amateurs such as myself might be paired with somebody with more expertise or assist the teacher in gathering and preparing materials. Or I could be completely wrong...

I'm just thinking out loud, so please bear with me...... what if we allowed each person to choose what they wanted to teach. I really like the pairs idea, also. But instead of sticking to one subject or another, let each parent choose something they want to teach,  or have the knowledge of teaching. And maybe we can do like a sign up list so we all have a chance to be the teacher, giving others a break....? Are you planning to cover more than one subject per get together? Or just one subject/activity at a time? For the most part these seem to be fairly young children... I know my kids are young. And probably wouldn't handle much more than one or two things a day. How long/many hours did you plan to get together when you do have the co-op each week?
