I have to admit I wasn't expecting all that much from the Children's Book Sale at the Main Library. I was very pleasantly surprised, though. I found tons of books I wanted, including a complete 18 volume science encyclopedia. I know, I know, my kids are age 1 and 4 -- it'll be a while until they use it. But at 50-cents per hardback book, the price was right. We spent just over $20 and had more books than we could carry to take home. To top it off, we got a call from the Cherry Hills library telling us Eric was the grand prize winner in the Magical Mystery summer reading program drawing. He has $25 to spent at Coronado mall, lucky kid!
Oh, and I got a flyer at the book sale saying that accredited homeschoolers (I guess that means you need some documentation from the state) can come and haul away any leftover books from the library sale on Monday from 10am to 3pm, if anyone's interested. |
