Here's what the Schooltime Series is (quoting from their website): "The mission of the Ovation Schooltime Series is to offer public and private school teachers and their students a selection of field-trip opportunities for high-quality, low-cost, entertaining and educational performing arts events. ... Each performance event is targeted at specific grade levels, preschool (i.e. puppet shows) through 12th grade (i.e. Shakespearean dramas)." The website finally has some "highlights" for the upcoming season (subject to change, etc.). Looking them over, there are a couple we might want to consider going to that are aimed at the younger set). We can reserve seats together in advance. Payment generally needs to be made about a month ahead of time. Here are some of the ones I noticed, and which I'll be adding to the calendar: *Mathemagic (Theatrical magic show illustrating math facts and problem solving.) Thursday, October 2, 2003, 10:15am-Grade K-2 & 12:15pm-Grade 3-5 *Banana Slug String Band (Music, antics and wild character teach wonders of nature and ecology) Grade 1-5. Friday, January 30, 2004, 10:15am & 12:15pm *Ramona Quimby (A play that brings to life the stories from several of author Beverly Cleary’s books) Grade 1-5. Monday, March 15, 2004, 10:15am & 12:15pm I'm sure there are some that I've missed that would be appropriate for some of your kids, or that will be added to the schedule later.
