I don't know how many of you there are interested in PE classes for your kids. I know mine get plenty of exercise without it, but if you're looking for some kind of group activity, maybe it's a good way to go. Here's what I've heard that's going on.

Shelby (who posts to this board) is getting a basketball group together, possibly to meet at a local school. Maybe she will post more on that.

Julie S. is looking into the indoor athletic facilities at a local church. Maybe she will post more on that.

Someone named Lisa, who teaches homeschool PE classes at NM Sports and Wellness got in touch with me the other day. Her schedule, briefly, is

SEPTEMBER:     BASKETBALL
OCTOBER:     VOLLEYBALL
NOVEMBER:     FITNESS AND ENDURANCE

Meeting time is Tuesday 2-3 at Riverside Sports and Wellness (westside?) and Thursday 2-3 at Del Norte Sports and Wellness. Price is $23/28 (members/non) for a 4-week session. 15% discount addl kids. All 3 sessions get a 10% discount. You can contact Lisa at 858-1785 ext. 207 or email LSLENES@AOL.COM.

I've set a date for Basketball and a place. If anyone is interested, boys and girls of all ages are welcomed. Especially if you know the rules  as we don't! If your kids are interested, how about a basketball game or two on Thursday 8/21 from 7pm to whenever. If this time works, or doesn't work for you, please let me know (discombobulated@qwest.net). The school is McCollum Elem. on Morris, between Constitution and Lomas. Parking is right by the courts and playground. We've got 3 basketballs, feel free to bring one if you like. You can call me too if you need to! 323-2377.

PS: How do I get this on the calendar?

Right now, I'm the only one who can put things on the calendar, so I'll add this for you. If you think you'd like to start adding events to the calendar yourself let me know, and I can set you up with access to it.

I was thinking of changing the date of our co-op potluck to the 21st at the bluegrass concert at the Botanical Gardens. Maybe I should make our potluck the 28th, or were you planning to have basketball at the same time the next week?

Unless someone says otherwise I'll probably keep it at 7, at least for a few more weeks till the darkness starts coming early, man I hate the whole daylight savings thing! When it starts getting cooler and darker earlier I'll move the time down. I don't mind telling you dates/times for the calendar so if you want to keep me out thats fine LOL I don't care either way, thanks for offering I'll also post when MOPS is too for those interested.

My kids love soccer and would love to play with other kids. Is anyone interested in meeting up in the afternoods to let their kids kick a soccer ball around?
