Kelli McNaughton would like to set up PE classes for homeschoolers. She's already found some UNM PE students to teach the classes, which would be held on Fridays from 1:00-2:00. She is still on the look out for a CC to hold it at. If we can find 15 students, the cost would be $5.50 per child for a 4 week session, cheap! Less if we can find more than 15 students. Another thing I just thought of.... There is a Tao Jitsu class that is held on Tue and Thur evenings from 7-7:30 which is VERY inexpensive, $15 per MONTH! It is held right now at a park on Comanche between San P. and San M. If you would like more info and directions, etc, contact me at 323-2377.

We will have our first P.E. this Friday, Oct. 3rd, at Jeanne Bellamah Park, from 1:00- 2:00.  The Park is accessible via I-40. Exit at Eubank, go north to Lomas, head east on Lomas, left (south) on Tomasita (just past Target area), you will pass several  streets on Tomasita before you will see the park and community center on your right.

We will try out the park, check out equipment for free, play in the game rooms, and colletc. money for next weeks official P.E. with our Instructor. If you have any questions or comments call Kelli at 294-2869

Please feel free to forward this e-mail to friends. As before, we hope the cost to be $5.50 per child for a four week session if we have 15 children enrolled from the ages of 5- 10. Currently we have 13 children mostly in the 6-8 yr-old age group.

We will be playing games that emphasize sports skills and learning rules for specific sports. There will be an emphasis on safety and sportsmanship We hope at the end of the year to have an Olympics. Each family will come as a country (flags, arm bands etc.) and compete for competition such as running races, relays, softball toss, long jump, running long jump ect.. Everyone will receive ribbons.

The only requirement we have is that the child wants to come and will treat others with respect.

The PE class is on starting this Friday, 10/10, from 2:10-3:10. If you are interested, please come by. Its $80 per month divided by as many kids that come. The PE teacher is going to be teaching one thing per month, like basketball, soccer, baseball, etc.
