Hi there!

I'm not new to homeschooling, but just found this group today.  My name is Sylvia.  We live in Taylor Ranch.  My husband and I have two sons at home -- Andy (7) and Dan (2-1/2) -- and a grown son, Will (1 living on his own in North Carolina.

We've been homeschooling since May, 2001. We were active in Tumbleweeds until just a month or two ago.  Recently, we've been hanging out in the heights with the OLE folks, tho it's quite a drive for us. 

I see at least one name I recognize here -- Shelby.  Hi! 

I am a stay at home Mom, was a secretary in my former life; grew up in Albuquerque, graduated Eldorado High, lived in the DC Area for 13 years before returning home in '98, and also a LaLeche League Leader.

I'm looking forward to getting to know more homeschoolers.

Hi Sylvia! Welcome to the group. We have members on the west side, east mtn, ne heights, unm area. Basically, all over! We occasionally have park days on the west side, and often meet downtown at the zoo or aquarium or a museum. I hope to see you at some future event.

Actually I just became a leader, officially on Oct 4, with the West Mesa group.  This is my first volunteer/activist foray, tho I've been looking for a cause to give my time to for years.  Of course, since our decision to homeschool, and later evolution into radical unschoolers, I'm already kinda busy.  I'll be leading my first meeting next Monday -- I'm really very excited about it all.
