I don't know about you, but I really enjoy taking my kids to park days to meet other homeschoolers. Does anyone on the westside (or other area) have a favorite park and want to commit to a once a month date in the summer when we can get together? I live on the east side but would be glad to travel west once a month to meet some of you over there. Kari is hosting a park day on the east side on the first Thursday of every month. Anyway, let me know if you want to get a park group going at your favorite park and I'll put it on the calendar.

Hi Elizabeth!

I'd be willing to host a westside park day the 3rd Thursday of the month.  Mariposa Park is the nearest for us, near Coors & Montano.  If folks would prefer, we could also do Haynes Park in Rio Rancho (right across from Intel).  Both parks have great playsets, lots of shade, a duckpond, and restrooms (the ones at Haynes are nicer!).

The 3rd Thursday this month is the 21st, and I could do that.  Any votes for a particular park?

I too don't mind traveling to the West Side, and thank you Sylvia for volunteering to do host a day, but need directions if it's not held at the Haines park.

I had a great time at the Park day yesterday as did Kailey and wanted to thank you Kari for setting it up.

I'd like taking my kids to the park too.  We always go out morning and afternoon.  I usually try to avoid the 10 a.m.  but  I had a hard time avoiding it.  My kids (3yr. old boy and 2 yr. old girl ) are already tired by that time, and that means they'd be almost ready for a nap by the time we get home.  I would like to meet other homeschoolers and are planning to homeschool families.  I live about 10 min. away from the Haynes Park and 2 blocks away from the Rainbow Park and Pool.  We'll keep in touch.

Sylvia, 3rd Thursdays sound great! Let me know which park and time you decide on and I'll put it on the calendar. Either park is fine with me, with maybe a slight preference for Haynes Park. Thanks! See you soon...

Dallin is always game for a new adventure, so I'm sure he'd be happy to explore a new park.  I don't know anything about either of the parks, but the nicer restrooms at Haynes Park sound nice, since we'll be to far from home to just run there.

My vote, as always is for mid to late morning.  Dallin naps (with any luck) in the afternoons.

I would like to meet all of you who are going to the park on the 3rd Thursday of the Month if the park is not too far from my place.

I still don't wanna get lost to the place that I'm not familiar with since I'm new in town.
I 've been planning to meet the homeschoolers since we move here.  We'll see you then.

Hi there!  We would also love to meet at Haynes park on Thursdays.  Is it possible due to the warmer weather to meet early around 9:00am?  We went to the park the other day and the slides were hot by 10:00.
Thanks!

9 a.m. may be a little early for me, coming from the east side, especially if we move into the east mountains, which is where I believe a few others may be coming from.  But, if others want to do it then, it is fine by me.

Good Morning ladies. Nine oclock is a little early for me, I've got a 45 minute drive atleast, but I could do 9:30 and then I will also bring a gallon or so of water, and an old towel and we can wipe down the slide so that is't not to hot. I however need directions. If someone could let me know if it's the Montano bridge or Paseo and where from there I would appreciate it.

Thanks
