I've read a couple of posts recently of people wondering why events on the calendar have disappeared or been moved to new dates. I just wanted to let you know what's going on:
Our goal is to have 2 activities per week. Someday (maybe even soon!) we may have more as our member volunteers get increasingly active in suggesting/organizing activities. With that goal in mind, I sometimes move an activity if a particular week gets too crowded. I don't generally reschedule tours or regular repeating activities such as park days, but other activities, such as a trip to a zoo, museum, or sprinkler park sometimes get shifted.
I don't consider an activity set in stone until it's been announced in the weekly newsletter. If it happens that an announced activity has to change, we'll do our best to post an message on the board. So... If you print out a monthly calendar in advance, please be aware that this may happen. I apologize if that's an inconvenience to anyone.
By the way, would anyone like to volunteer to be a calendar or newsletter editor?
