I've been to a couple of Shannon Ash's workshops and she does mostly unit studies.  I think that's what this lapbooking refers to.  Shannon is a good speaker and I've enjoyed her workshops.  She's one of the most spontaneously creative people I know, too.  Here's the info...

Lap Booking Workshop
Lap booking has become a very popular addition to many home schooling  environments.
Kids love it, and it reinforces the concepts you are teaching them.
Come and learn how you can incorporate lap booking into your home schooling:

Wednesday, August 18 from 10:00am to 12:00pm
at
Desert Springs Church
located at
705 Osuna Rd NE in Albuquerque
Cost: $10

You will leave the workshop with many ideas and a completed lap book
that you can use as a template for all your other needs.

Thanks so much for this post!  I have seen vague information on doing lapbooks and minibooks, but haven't been able to find clear enough directions to follow, and never saw a completed one to copy.  I'm excited to be able to take advantage of this opportunity!

You're very welcome!!!   I'm glad to see someone be interested.  I haven't decided yet if I'll go, myself, because we don't do unit studies.  We'll see.  But thought someone here might be interested and I'm glad I posted!
