My favorite parks are: Piedra Lisa, High Desert, Holiday and there is anther one in the vacinity of Cloudview, but I can't recall what it is called.  I just found it recently.  It's got lots of trees and a fun playground.

Search for parks at this website:     http://www.cabq.gov/gis/park.php

We have always enjoyed Planet Fun (PlayIt Fun as my 3 year old says!) It is a lot more affordable than Chuck E Cheese, and has better pizza!  We had a bday party there and the kids had a blast. It seems dirty but Harrison would much rather do the physical things there than the games at CEC.

In the north valley there is a great little park called Columbus Park. I don't recall any bathrooms but I have a boy so it isn't much of an issue (just kidding!)  The playground equipment is all by Little Tykes and in the theme of Columbus park, it is a big ship, with palm trees around and crocociles to ride/step on, even has like a plank to walk on the ground.  It is south of Montano and 4th, back behind Douglas McArthur elementary school.

Also, the Los Ranchos park (Hartnett Park) has great shade and is a very nice and relatively new playground, and has bathrooms.  That is at the corner of Rio Grande and Chavez.  There are tennis courts there as well.

Corrales Park is nice, with shade and bathrooms in the library except the equipment is not shaded and gets very HOT to the touch!

Location: The little critters of nature... They don't know that they're ugly!
My kids love Academy Hills park (though it is nowhere near our house!).  You can see it from Eubank and Juan Tabo, opposite the Mountain Run shopping center.  There is a re-vamped park near our house on Constitution and Carlisle (Summit Park) that they also love-the favorite item is the tire swing!

I have also been meaning to write about this for a while-have you all heard about the new "sprayground" at Manzano Mesa center?  It is like they took all the fun spraying and misting and splashing stuff from the West Mesa pool or Corrales pool, and just stuck it on concrete instead of over a pool.  This is great for me, because I don't have to worry about someone drowning (I am panicky at the pool with two kids, and I can't imagine what it will be like with three!).  It's on Southern and Elizabeth (from I40: Eubank S. to Southern, turn left on Southern, it's on the right).  It's free!!  During the week they are open at 11 am, and 9am on Saturdays.
