Hello everyone,

I am new here.  I have 4 children ages 12, 10, 7, and 3.  We have been in public school all along and I am really nervous and excited about making the change (at this point, my 12 year old will still attend public school).  I am thinking that I would like to use a curriculum the first year while I get my confidence up.  Has anyone here used Calvert and would you recommend it?  Also, do any of you have children that are similar in age?  Thanks and I will look forward to meeting you this year!  Sharon

Hi Sharon,

We're not new to Albuquerque, or homeschooling, but are seeking a larger circle of friends.  I have two boys at home -- Andy is 9, Dan is almost 5.  I don't know whether your kids are boys or girls, but I recognized your name from another group I belong to (LLL-NM) and just wanted to say hi!

We're not members of Abq coop yet -- we did attend a few events in the very early days a couple of summers ago, but at that time there were no boys Andy's age so we lost interest.  I've just contacted someone here for info about visiting an event and becoming prospective members, so maybe we'll see you soon.

Sylvia
