Hi there!

My husband and I went to see An Inconvenient Truth.
I wanted to offer some thoughts on it.

This movie has had a lasting impact on me.
I've thought about it every day since we went to view it.

I do not consider myself an Al Gore fan; but, this movie is EXCELLENT.
If it had been a documentary on his life, I think I would have left disappointed.

Contraire.  This movie (appears to) focus on the health of our planet.
It claims to be scientifically accurate, it's entertaining, and solution-oriented.

Thanks for the review, without your input, I probably would not have been interested in seeing it.  My wife and I will check it out.  We recycle, but half-heartedly.  Would be good to get our family more involved.

Carissa, I've been meaning to see this movie for a long time, so many people have told me how important and moving it was for them to see it. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for your review on this movie, Carissa.
These issues have been heavy on my heart for
some time now.

I tend to be out-of-the-loop with current media
because we rarely watch TV or read newspapers
in our home (no convictions about them, we just
don't have much time/interest....

Most of what we read to catch up on the world,
is on the internet.
So, thank you for sharing this movie information
with us.
John and I look forward to watching it soon.

I'm so glad for these responses!      It was worth the admission price and the time.     It is a thought-provoking piece . . . in contrast to many of the thought-numbing movies showcased by Hollywood.

Update:  After having several conversations with friends about this movie, I realize that many people may totally disagree with the evidence presented in this movie, etc.     Totally understandable and respected, here.    Definitely didn't mean to be an advocate for all of these causes, I just found this to be a thought-provoking piece and I realize that we all have to just go on our own instincts since we aren't at-the-scene researchers ourselves (some of you may be, actually!).  Who knows?!  Regardless, it's never healthy to live in a state of fear and I hope to only promote healthy proactivity . . . we can only do our best and stay positive, right?  I do enjoy teaching my kiddo how to respect his planet by recycling, etc., even if some of these movements do not yield what we are hoping . . . Happy wishes!  Just wanting to "throw this out there" to you for what it's worth.    This, in no way, necessarily represents what the Albuquerque Homeschool Co-op believes, it's just a personal review.
