What kind of "learning activities" do you think would be enhanced by allying together as a group?   Your ideas might be fantastic endeavors for the Albuquerque Homeschool Co-op!

Anything involving a second language. That way there are others to practice with!

It would be nice to take some cake decorating classes together. Maybe sewing lessons.

We just talked about this yesterday and decided our hs group is getting together once a week to do full immersion spanish with ME I'm envisioning we'll do a simple project and I'll only speak spanish the whole time. Our goal for later in the school year is to be able to take all of our little ones to a local mexican restaurant and have each one politely order their own meal and mind their table manners in spanish We're excited, I hope I can do this, my girls are 6, 7 and 9 and they understand some spanish but can't speak it (besides greetings, colors, numbers, etc). I was really sad last week when we visited my family in El Paso b/c they couldn't communicate with my grandmother. So yesterday my friend and I came up with that plan. My girls always talk about how wonderful it would be if our family were a missionary family and I think leaning spanish would be an awesome tool for sharing the gospel with the needy world! I'm just sad I dropped the ball all these years, but anyway on the brighter side, yesterday was our FIRST day of speaking ALL spanish ALL day. I hope we can continue this, English during school time and spanish the rest of the day.
