I know this sounds so random; but, it could become something you do together as a family.

- identify weeds in your yard you want to eradicate
- find their names/natures on this NM website:  http://weeds.nmsu.edu/
- try to remember their names, learn to talk about them, execute the eradication plan!

It's a lesson in horticulture!
