On the first Saturday of each month, Home Depot offers the same sort of workshop between 9 a.m. and noon. (It only lasts that long if there's enough interest.)
These are free programs and great for both genders. Free aprons and eye protection are usually included and available for take-home. Certificates are personalized and offered at the end for successful completion of the project. Lowe's gives a patch and a sticker. Home Depot gives a pin for clothing. These are fun to collect and/or scrapbook. Take your camera . . . it's a hoot! Take advantage of it!
On the second Saturday of each month, Lowe's hosts a building workshop for children, free of charge. I believe it starts at 10 a.m. and lasts one-hour.

I have set up a 2nd homeschool day with Outpost Ice Arena to go ice-skating at the completely remodeled arena. Due to the great turnout and the rmany requests to do so again, the Date is set for January 23rd, with the deadline to pay on January 19th. We will meet at 10:50 and skate from 11:00 to 1:00, skates included. I have to pre-pay at $8.00 each for the first 11, so the easiest way to do this is to just collect from everyone ahead of time. You need to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more info.
Outpost is located at 9530 Tramway Blvd., 87122
This was such a huge hit the first time, I had many requests to set it up again, and with it so cold out, at least here at our place, it seems fitting to do it this month.
moderator help requested . . . pretty please add "(archived)" to the thread title to reflect that it is now outdated? I would but it has gone over the allowed time for a non-admin author to edit it Thanks so much!
