They offer online activities that highlight the contributions and rich cultures of Hispanics from over 20 countries.

The Scholastic website has prepared a multi-media extravaganza (turn on your speakers) to celebrate the occasion. They offer online activities that highlight the contributions and rich cultures of Hispanics from over 20 countries.

When you get to the site you will see an icon menu that includes:

*Hispanic History in the Americas - Trace the roots of Spanish history and influences in the Americas over 500 years.

*Meet Famous Latinos - Read the biographies of well-known Hispanic people who have made significant contributions to society and culture.

*Latinos in History - Explore the Hispanic heritage timeline and learn about important accomplishments.

*Pinata Concentration Game - Challenge your memory while practicing Spanish foreign language skills in this fun, interactive game.

Lessons and activities at the site help students learn about the traditions and culture of Hispanic Americans. Enjoy!
