Wow, that was fantastic!    No doubt, the skill of self-teaching is one wonderful skill to have . . . perhaps the greatest gift we can give our children is to protect their natural curiosity.

I love how this article points out that even formal education requires self-teaching.
Of course, this is quite obvious to many of us homeschoolers . . . our children are so fortunate to be "out of the box" and "in the real world" at such a young age.
