Quoted Text
Resource: Spangler Candy Cane Factory

Provider: Spangler Candy Cane Factory

Summary: The Spangler Candy Company has been manufacturing candy canes since 1954. They make over 2 million candy canes a day...

Description: At this site you can take a virtual tour of their factory. They explain the process of mass production of candy canes through text and photographs.

SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS:

Spangler also offers this page that includes CANDY CANE LEGENDS
http://www.spanglercandy.com/spangler/products/canehistory.php
The legends contain some religious content. I mention this, because in previous years that I have featured this site, I receive (in response) many links from list members with the "true story" of candy canes. I also get links to sites that debunk the "true story" of candy canes as urban legend. AS ALWAYS, I leave it to each parent to review and research the information and determine what is suitable for their own children.

If the Spangler site piques your interest, you may enjoy...
