Hey everybody! It's almost time for the Albuquerque Folk Festival. This is one of my favorite events of the summer season, so I thought I'd let you know about it.

Date:         Saturday June 21, 2008
Time:         10am-11pm
Location:    Expo New Mexico
Admission:  $15 adults/ $10 in advance; children under 11 are FREE!

The Folk Festival is a wonderful opportunity to try shapenote singing, cut a rug doing some new dance moves, and listen to some of Albuquerque's best bands. There are workshops for children running all day and a Barn Dance "Under the Stars" in the evening. I'll be demonstrating weaving techniques with other craftspeople in the morning. Check it out!

The website for more information is http://www.abqfolfest.org and the phone number is 294-6909. Hope to see some of you there!

Melissa
